Management & Economics Library Renovation

A new Management and Economics Library (MEL) is emerging on the second floor of the Krannert Building, transforming it into one of the foremost Business Information Centers in the nation as a model 21st century learning environment. A bustling hub of the entrepreneurial spirit, discovery and learning, the new center will be a critical partner in promoting students’ social networking and success.

Just as the top-ranked Krannert School of Management and the Agricultural Economics, Consumer Sciences and Retailing, and the Hospitality and Tourism Management Departments envision international recognition as premier institutions, so is it the Libraries’ vision to achieve preeminence as a creative university research library in meeting the challenges of the Information Age.

Phase I of the space has been completed and includes a state of the art Learn Lab, an interactive classroom with Smart Board technology, group work stations, and tools for instructors to increase engagement and effectiveness in the classroom. The second part of Phase I is the Corporate Study Room, a quiet study area for students to use for group work, meetings, or individual study.
