How to Find Purdue Theses & Dissertations

Find ALL Purdue Theses & Dissertations

Step 2

Find Theses from a Specific Department

Step 3

View Detailed Information from the Online Record (Department Name, Major Professor Name, Year, etc.)

 
Additional Information Search the ProQuest Digital Dissertations Database

Find ALL Purdue Theses & Dissertations

1. Open Purdue Online CATALOG Assisted Search

2. enter "thesis" in the first search box (searching with the word
    “thesis” will pull up both dissertations and theses
)

3. enter "purdue" in the second search box

4. click on the "search" button

 
 
 

Find Theses & Dissertations from a Specific Department

Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 above

4. enter an abbreviation known for the department in the third search box
        e.g. "cdfs"   [cdfs - for Child Development & Family Studies epartment]
               Similarly, you can use: csr, rhit, htm, f&n, psyc, etc.

5. click on the "search" button

 
 
 
 

Not Sure of What Abbreviation to Use?

Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 above

4. enter multiple abbreviations that people might have used for the
    department in the third search box
        e.g.:  psyc psy psych
                 Similarly, you can use: "rhit htm" or "f&n fn"

5. change "all of these" to "any of these"

6. click on the "search" button
