Citizens for Civil Rights is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocacy, awareness, and education in human rights issues for all residents of Greater Lafayette.

Human Relations Commission, City of Lafayette

The Commission's main objectives are to end prejudice, intolerance, bigotry, and discrimination in the City of Lafayette, to encourage respect and understanding of all individuals and groups, and to investigate complaints of discrimination in the City of Lafayette.  The Commission is concerned with any discrimination based on race, sex, religion, color, physical or mental handicap, familial status, national origin, or sexual orientation, and is available to investigate discriminatory acts in the areas of employment, access to public accommodations, and the purchase or rental of housing.

International Center of West Lafayette

The International Center of West Lafayette, Inc. is an independent, not-for-profit community organization that works to foster the spirit of international cooperation and understanding, and to enrich the cultural diversity within the Greater Lafayette community by offering programs and promoting interaction among U.S. and International community residents and visitors.

The mission of the Greater Indianapolis Fairness Alliance is advocacy for equality under the law for LGBT persons. Its primary activity is lobbying and public policy, as well as limited direct legal advocacy. It administers the Fairness Fund for legal defense and education, and Fairness PAC, a political action committee and political campaign fund.

Indiana Lawyers Guild is a group of gay, lesbian, and bisexual lawyers, paralegals, and law students who have come together to provide a forum for networking and community assistance. ILG provides referrals and community education on legal issues concerning discrimination against gays, lesbians, and bisexuals in the workplace and in personal lives.

Pride Lafayette

A registered organization aimed at supporting and strengthening the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and intersex community of the Lafayette area. Their focus is on fostering a sense of community pride, celebrating the diversity of our community, and engaging in service projects that support local citizens and create bonds among volunteers.

PRYSM
PRSYM (Positive Reflections of Young Sexual Minorities) serves as a social-support outlet for area youth who are dealing with issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity.

Hours: 24 hours a day; 7 days a week

Provides free and confidential crisis intervention, information and referral, and suicide prevention services to callers and walk-ins. Trained volunteers offer a nonjudgmental listening ear to problems of all kinds. Speaker's Squads also are available to talk to campus and/or community groups about crisis intervention, the Crisis Center, suicide prevention, or related topics at no charge. The Crisis Center sponsors a support group for those who have lost a loved one through suicide and publishes the comprehensive Community Services Directory that lists more than 250 human resources and support groups serving Tippecanoe County.

Nonpartisan political organization influences public policy through education and advocacy. The league studies issues, takes positions by member consensus, and advocates public policy based on those positions. It also encourages citizen participation in the election process and in local, state, and national government decisions. It supplies materials, programs, and community forums to educate the public on the structure and function of government and on league positions on public issues.
