Before you head off looking for information, you have to know what you´re looking for...otherwise you´ll be looking for a long time, and the information you get probably won´t be as useful.

So, Step 1, Figure out what you need to know

• Read the assignment carefully...make notes where you see that information will be needed.
• Make a list of facts you need to find
• Make a list of concepts you need to understand
• Make a list of general information you need to find

Once you have a list of all the kinds of information you need to find,  you´re ready to figure out where that information might be.
