Periodicals and Newspapers
Periodicals
The Periodical Collection is made up of journals and magazines. Older issues are bound into books. These bound periodicals are located at the back of the first floor past the Reference Area. They are shelved in call number order. You will need to look up the call number in the
libraries catalog to find them. The current periodicals are located in the Current Periodicals Room to the right of the bound periodicals. They are in alphabetical order by title. Both bound and current periodicals can be checked out for two hours, but cannot be checked out overnight.

here.
To find articles in periodicals you will need to use databases and indexes either in print or online. On the Library Home Page, click on the Articles tab. Click on the link Change Quickset, and select Engineering & Technology. Type your search term in the box and you will retrieve scholarly article citations, some with access to full text articles.
Newspapers
The Engineering Library keeps limited newspapers. The Newspaper Rack is on the first floor, beneath the interior windows in the Group Study Area. See the location of newspapers in the library
here.
We subscribe to the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times in print, and only keep the most current five days for both newspapers. The Undergraduate Library subscribes to many newspapers. Others, including some international newspapers, are available full-text online using
Lexis-Nexis. Check the
Libraries online catalog for the location of back issues of newspapers.
