| Nineteenth Century British Library Newspapers | 19th Century British Library Newspapers provide searchable full text of full runs of newspapers specially selected by the British Library to represent nineteenth-century Britain. This collection includes national and regional newspapers, as well as newspapers from: established country or university towns; the new industrial powerhouses of the manufacturing Midlands; and Scotland, Ireland and Wales. Special attention was paid to include newspapers that helped lead particular political or social movements such as Reform, Chartism, and Home Rule. Penny papers aimed at the working and clerical classes are also included. | Nineteenth Century Collections Online (NCCO) | NCCO will be an extensive database with multiple content types, developed in a rolling release over several years. Sources will include monographs, newspapers, manuscripts, photographs, maps, ephemera, and statistical data. The collection modules are topically based, in addition to some devoted to specific regions. AVAILABLE MODULES: 1) British Politics and Society; 2) Asia and the West: Diplomacy and Cultural Exchange; 3) British Theatre, Music and Literature: High and Popular Culture; 4) European Literature 1790-1840: the Corvey Collection. A large portion of the initial content will come from the British Library and the British National Archives.
