Congressional Publications

important resources because Congress is responsible for funding and overseeing U.S. foreign policy programs
with U.S. Senate publications being particularly important because of the Senate's constitutional responsi-
bility for approving treaties with foreign countries and the confirmation of officials such as the Secretary of
State and U.S. ambassadors to foreign countries. Examples of congressional publications on U.S. foreign
