These Internet sites provide tutorials for those new to EndNote:
- An EndNote animated tutorial from the National Library of Medicine (NLM) (http://nihlibrary.nih.gov/Training/EN6Intro/EN6Intro.viewlet/EN6Intro_viewlet_swf.html) covers the basic features. This tutorial is designated for Windows, but the features are the same in EndNote between the two operating systems.
- The Monash University tutorial (http://www.lib.monash.edu.au/vl/endnote/endncon.htm) covers EndNote basics, step-by-step with screen shots, more thoroughly than the brief tutorial but not as extensively as the EndNote Guided Tour. Although it covers EndNote 6, the basics are essentially the same with the newer version of EndNote 7.
- Managing EndNote libraries (http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/OPTO/enote7.html#Ope) is also a step-by-step guide which includes how to open, search, change preferences, sort libraries and import text files of citations into libraries.
