"Automatically format your papers and bibliographies in seconds!"

After you try RefWorks, the Libraries would like you to take a brief survey to provide feedback.

RefWorks is a web-based bibliographic citation manager similar to EndNote that allows you to build and share a personal research database. Features of RefWorks allow you to:

  • Download citations from databases and put them into a personal RefWorks research database
  • Format bibliographies and citations automatically in over 400 styles including APA, MLA, etc.
  • Use in conjunction with Microsoft Word to write papers, dissertations, etc.
  • Access your RefWorks account from any computer, anywhere
  • Create a database of references and share it with colleagues around the world

To create an account:

  1. Click the RefWorks logo above or go to http://www.refworks.com/refworks from this link.
  2. Click on "Sign Up for an Individual Account"
  3. Enter the appropriate information and click on Register.

Note: You must establish an individual account to begin using the software. This is NOT the same as your Purdue email username/password. When you first enter the RefWorks site, click on the "Sign Up for an Individual Account" link.
