About the Library

Since it opened in 1982, the goal of the Hicks Undergraduate Library has been to create active learning environment for the Purdue community. Our course reserve materials and media support these efforts, as do the three new interactive classrooms and computer lab. We also offer audio/visual equipment for loan.
Highlights

In 2011, Hicks Undergraduate Library opened its first IMPACT (or Instruction Matters: Purdue Academic Course Transformation) classroom in Hicks B848. This state-of-the-art space was designed to create an active learning environment. Since then, two more IMPACT classrooms have been added to Hicks. The library will be open normal hours through the end of the semester, including our extended 24/7 hours during Dead and Finals Weeks. We close for the summer on Saturday, May 4th at 5pm. Areas that will be closed during the summer include the library, the 24-hr lounge, and all 3 classrooms. The Hicks Undergraduate Library will reopen this fall.
