This database indexes current, readily available reference sources, as well as the most important retrospective works that cover individuals, both living and deceased, from every field of activity and from all areas of the world.

Biography Resource Center

This database combines biographies from several reference sources as well as full-text articles from hundreds of periodicals. Search for people based on one or more personal facts such as birth and death year, nationality, ethnicity, occupation or gender.

SACNAS Biography Project
The Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science presents a collection of brief biographies of Chicano/Latino and Native American Scientists.

Mathematicians of the African Diaspora
Professor Scott William of the University of Buffalo maintains this site of information, including profiles of 450 Black mathematicians, Black women in math, and the greatest Black mathematicians of all time.

JustGarciaHill: A Virtual Community for Minorities in Science, Biography

The Faces of Science: African Americans in the Sciences
“Profiled here are African American men and women who have contributed to the advancement of science and engineering.” This site includes includes biographical information about African American biochemists, biologists, chemists, phyicists, and scientists from many other disciplines.

Minority Biosketches
This site, which is maintained by the American Physiological Society, includes links to various sources on African American, Hispanic American, and Native American physiologists and scientists.
