Provides the most current index to over 8000 of the world's leading scholarly research journals in the sciences, social sciences, and arts & humanities. Has a unique "cited reference" feature to find articles that have cited a given article. Includes abstracts for many of the articles. Pre-1977 citations can be used as the starting point for citation searches, but there are no displayable records for pre-1977 citations. Although Web of Science is primarily a database of journal citations, "cited materials" may be books, dissertations, government reports, in press articles, or any other material.
