Choices III

Choices 3, produced by the Simmons Market Research Bureau, includes demographic and psychographic data from a nationwide survey called "National Consumer Study" (NCS). It surveys the buying and media habits of the American public.

Comprehensive Housing Affordability Strategy (CHAS) 1993 ed.

Statistical data derived from the 1990 Federal Census. Provides household data for states, counties, minor civil divisions and places. Includes household data on income affordability, age, and housing problems. Available on Workstation #9.

Current Population Statistics

The Current Population Survey (CPS) is a monthly survey of about 50,000 households conducted by the Bureau of the Census for the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The survey has been conducted for more than 50 years. The sample provides estimates for the nation as a whole and serves as part of model-based estimates for individual states and other geographic areas. Estimates obtained from the CPS include employment, unemployment, earnings, hours of work, and other indicators. They are available by a variety of demographic characteristics including age, sex, race, marital status, and educational attainment. They are also available by occupation, industry, and class of worker.

Over 25,000 tables are added per year. For tables from the trade and business press and reports, full text is available along with tables, in most cases.

Living Standards Measurement Study - World Bank Group

The main objective of LSMS surveys is to collect household data that can be used to assess household welfare, to understand household behavior, and to evaluate the effect of various government policies on the living conditions of the population. United Nations Statistical Yearbook

The main purpose of the Statistical Yearbook is to provide a comprehensive compilation of internationally available statistics on social and economical conditions and activities at the national level, covering, whenever possible, the years from 1980 on. The objective has been to collect and coordinate the most essential components of comparable statistical information which can give a broad picture of social and economic processes.

World Development Report 1999/2000

This 22nd edition of the World Development Report analyzes how these forces could reshape the international landscape in the new millennium. It proposes rules and structures on which to build a more effective, comprehensive approach to development; provides valuable insight into how current viewpoints can be adapted to fit evolving development concerns.
