Foreign Trade Statistics- US Census Bureau

STAT-USA

STAT-USA is a primary point for access to government business-related statistics of all kinds including the National Trade Data Bank (NTDB). The section entitled "Frequently Requested Statistical Releases" includes all types of economic data from GDP figures and interest rates to housing starts and retail sales. A searchable version of Commerce Business Daily is available here as well as the Survey of Current Business since 1994. Most of the applications on this site require Adobe-Acrobat software which can be downloaded. To gain access to this database, an ID and password are required or use  the Internet PCs in the Management & Economics Library. Consult the Reference Staff in your library to gain access.

International Trade Law

This international trade law site provides the full text of several trade law agreements including NAFTA (the North American Free Trade Agreement), GATT (the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade), and the Maastricht Treaty on European Union. There are also links to "official" and "other" commentaries on the various trade laws and their implementation.

This is the official U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration NAFTA site. In addition to providing access to the full text of the NAFTA, the "NAFTA Facts" link connects to information about business practices in Mexico and Canada as well as demographic statistics.
