Statistical Sources

Stat-USA
STAT-USA is a primary point for access to government business-related statistics of all kinds including the National Trade Data Bank (NTDB). The section entitled "Frequently Requested Statistical Releases" includes all types of economic data from GDP figures and interest rates to housing starts and retail sales. A searchable version of Commerce Business Daily is available here as well as the Survey of Current Business since 1994. 
International Financial Statistics
Data gathered by the IMF on exchange rates, money and banking, interest rates, prices, production, international transactions, government finance, and national accounts for most countries.

Datastream

An extremely broad and deep database of international financial information.  Equities (stocks), indices, interest rates, futures and options are just some of what is available in this resource.
EIU CountryData
A database of annual, quarterly and monthly economic indicators and forecasts. EIU CountryData gives you access to 278 series on 117 countries and 40 regional aggregates, running from 1980 and forward to 2005.

World Development Indicators

Statistical data on people, environment, economic and financial on countries and markets for over 200 countries and 18 country groups.
Global Development Finance
A World Bank database that tracks the annual movement of international capital flows to 138 countries.
Statistical Yearbook: United Nations
An electronic version of the U.N. Statistical Yearbook, international stats compiled yearly by the UN. Topics include agriculture, education, finance, manufacturing, social statistics, and trade.
World Development Reports
World Bank data from publications such as Social Indicators of Development, World Debt Tables, and World Tables. WDI is a searchable database of over 500 different demographic and economic data elements.
Export.gov - FAS and USDA Market Research Resources

Exporter guides, food and agricultural regulations, commodity reports, and agricultural reports are just some of the items available. This site also includes the Global Agricultural Information Network database (GAIN) of 23,000+ reports.
