Reference Questions?

The PNHS Library staff provide a broad range of reference services upon request, including assistance in verifying bibliographic citations.

PNHS staff members are available 8 AM - 5 PM (EST) Monday - Friday. Student assistants staff the library any evenings and weekends and offer limited reference assistance.

Interlibrary Loan

If materials are needed that are not available in the Purdue University Libraries, faculty, staff and students may request to borrow books or to obtain a photocopy of needed material from another university. Further details are available by clicking on the link above. If you have questions, please contact the PNHS staff.

Faculty, staff or students may suggest material for purchase to the PNHS librarians by clicking here.

Instruction

The PNHS librarians provide bibliographic lectures, and other information  literacy instruction to classes by appointment.  Library staff give individual orientations to the Library and its collections upon request.

Course Reserves

Students:  Find out what's on Reserve for your class:
In addition to being able to search the online Catalog for books in the general collection by author, title, subject, keywords, etc., you can also search for materials that a professor may have put on "Reserve" for a particular class.  These may be materials from the general collection, personal copies of books owned by the professor, photocopies of articles, old tests, etc.

Professors:  Put a book on Reserve for your class:
If you want to have a book (library-owned or your personal copy), journal article, or other material put on Reserve for a class, please let us know.  With a Purdue ID, materials placed on Reserve may be checked out for 2 hours.  Please note that, due to copyright restrictions, we can only place one copy of photocopied material on Reserve.  We are urging faculty to consider putting class notes up on the web, at a class web site, rather than having them available in the library.  Contact:  Cheryl Smith, csmith68@purdue.edu (4-1418).

Renew Books

Now you can renew books online.

Recall a Book
