The Best Medicine: Health Information from the Federal Government

The Best Medicine website was developed for a Medical Library Association (MLA) class entitled “The Best Medicine: Health Information from the Federal Government.”  It is intended for medical librarians who are familiar with some government sources but who would like to expand their list of familiar resources.

The resource lists are meant to be selective and representative but not comprehensive.  Most web sites originate from a governmental source, whether federal, local or international.  Some originate from non-governmental sources, and have been chosen to supplement available government sources.
