How to find materials in PNHS

BOOKS - Books are shelved on the balcony. Older, lesser-used books are located in the Libraries' Storage Unit in the Undergraduate Library. (2) REFERENCE BOOKS- Adjacent to the service desk, this collection includes specialized dictionaries, drug handbooks, and directories pertinent to pharmacy, and other health sciences, as well as general reference books. Reference books may be used in the Library ONLY. (3) RESERVES - Ask at the Circulation desk for these restricted loan books. (4) JOURNALS - Unbound journal issues are shelved with the bound volumes on the main floor. All journals are shelved alphabetically by title. (5) THESES - Theses are arranged by the author's last name and by year of publication and shelved under the windows. (6) COPIERS - The Library's self-service photocopiers operate on coins ($.05 a page), on rechargeable copy cards available for $1.00 ($.04 a page), and on non-rechargable cards charged to University accounts. Cards may be purchased at the Circulation Desk 8 AM - 4:30 PM, Mon. - Fri. |
LOAN POLICIES:
A machine readable Purdue ID card is required for faculty, staff and students to check out library materials. Loan periods for PNHS Library materials are:

How to find books and journals at Purdue University
THOR (http://www.lib.purdue.edu) - the Purdue University Libraries home page provides access to a variety of information resources on campus and elsewhere.
To locate Purdue books and journals use the "Quick Search" box on the lower left corner of the Libraries home page. Search by entering in keywords, author names, or titles.
Materials not available at Purdue can be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
If you are off campus for clerkships or internships or enrolled in distance education courses, you may be able to receive Purdue books or journal article photocopies by using the interlibrary loan services at your local public or college library. Please allow time for receipt of materials.
