A group of campus organizations with similar missions of strengthening women's leadership at Purdue have come 
together to sponsor this program honoring Women's History Month. Events include receptions and exhibitions on 
Amelia Earhart, a keynote address by former Assistant Surgeon General, Rear Admiral Susan Blumenthal, MD, MPA, 
and a student women in leadership conference keynote by Tish Norman.

Feminist Action Coalition for Today (FACT) and Department of Women’s Studies

To celebrate Women’s History Month, Purdue Women’s Studies Department and the student organization 
Feminist Action Coalition for Today (FACT) will be presenting a Women’s film festival.  Three films will be shown:  
	
	Iron Jawed Angels: March 2
	Lioness: March 9
	Sin of Silence: March 23 

The showings will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Tuesdays in University Hall, Room 303.  FACT will introduce and 
lead a discussion for each film.

Artifacts and photographs from the George Palmer Putnam collection of Amelia Earhart papers housed in the Purdue 
Archives appear in the exhibit In Search of Amelia Earhart at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington. The artifacts 
will return to the Purdue Archives and Special Collections in February 2010.
