UGRL does not hold exams, quizzes or homework solutions. The BoilerCopyMaker, located in Room 157 of the Purdue Memorial Union, distributes quizzes and exams that instructors have made available for students. For more information, call the BoilerCopyMaker (a division of Printing Services) at 49-63888.

Library-owned materials

To place either Library-owned books or media on reserve, please provide a printout of the Libraries Catalog record for each specific item, along with a completed Course Reserves Information Sheet. The printout should include author, title, location, and call number.

The Library catalog printout(s) may be brought to the UGRL Circulation/Reserve desk, sent through campus mail (UGRL-RES / HIKS), or you may e-mail the record to . Please be sure to include the Course Reserves Information Sheet. These forms are also available at the UGRL Circulation/Reserve desk.

Please be aware that processing may be delayed if the item is charged by another user, missing, lost, or on order.

Photocopies of Articles

Please bring photocopied articles, with complete citation information, to the UGRL Circulation/Reserve desk. All photocopied articles are subject to federal copyright law compliance. If the material has previously been on reserve, it may be sent via campus mail (UGRL-RES / HIKS) with a completed Course Reserves Information Sheet. These forms are also available at the UGRL Circulation/Reserve desk.

Personal Copies / Class Notes

Please bring personal copies of books or media to the UGRL Circulation/Reserve desk, or send them via campus mail (UGRL-RES / HIKS) along with a completed Course Reserves Information Sheet. These forms are also available at the Circulation/Reserve desk.

Class notes must be brought to the UGRL Circulation/Reserve desk, along with a completed Course Reserves Information Sheet. These forms are also available at the Circulation/Reserve desk.

Personal copies will be returned via campus mail after the end of the semester.

Recorded Class Lectures (Boilercast)

Taped classroom lectures are no longer available at the Undergraduate Library.

Instructors may now request that their classes be digitally recorded by ITaP's Digital Classroom Audio Recording and Archiving Service. Once recorded, these lectures will then be available online via ITaP's Boilercast. If you have any questions about this service, please contact ITaP's Mike Hicks at 49-42765.

Processing and Contact Information

Reserve materials are usually processed within 1-2 days. However, due to the heavy amount of material requested at the beginning of each semester, please allow up to one week for processing for the first few weeks of the semester.

If we have questions about a request, we will attempt to contact you by phone or email. If we cannot reach you or we receive no response, materials may be returned, generally within two days.
