The purpose of this online portfolio (or eportfolio) is to highlight some of my research areas, projects, and instructional initiatives. Biography

Jennifer Sharkey is Assistant Professor of Library Science and Information Integration Librarian at Purdue University Libraries. Professor Sharkey is part of the information literacy instructional program at the Libraries. Professor Sharkey facilitates numerous course sessions, which focus on the research process, credible electronic resources, and selected multimedia applications. She has created a number of instructional materials to enhance the active learning exercises she uses. Her research interests include creative incorporation of information literacy and technology into curricula as well as the application of graphic design, instructional design, and web design principles for course development.She partners with faculty to help them incorporate information literacy into their courses and enhance their course projects with multimedia components. She is also the instructional liaison to the Digital Learning Collaboratory, a student-focused collaborative, active learning facility where technology and information literacy are merged into course projects and curriculum.
