Evaluating Internet Sources & Sites: a tutorial

Coverage

The last criteria included in this tutorial is coverage. This can be difficult to determine because the nature of a site's coverage may be different than a print resource. However, you should examine these points.

  1. Are the topics covered on the site explored in depth?
  2. Are the links in the site comprehensive or used as examples?
  3. In the site, are the links provided relevant and appropriate?
  4. How useful is the information provided for the topic area?

Choose one of these two sites to evaluate.

Do you consider the information on this site to be relevant and comprehensive?
Why or why not?
