Medical Terminology

Blood, D. C., V. P. Studdert, & C. C. Gay, compilers.  Saunders Comprehensive Veterinary Dictionary.  3rd ed.  Edinburgh; New York: Elsevier Saunders, 2007. 2166p. [Electronically available from Credo Reference

Medical dictionaries frequently list terms of both medical and veterinary significance, as well as words of purely veterinary usage.  Although Stedman's Medical Dictionary [28th ed., 2006] appears to define more uniquely veterinary terms, the choice between Dorland's Illustrated Medical Dictionary [31st ed., 2007; electronically available from Credo Reference as well] or Stedman's is a matter of personal preference.
