Medical Terminology

Blood, D. C. and V. P. Studdert, compilers. Saunders Comprehensive Veterinary Dictionary. 3rd ed. Edinburgh: New York: Elsevier Saunders, 2007. 2166p. [Electronically available from Credo Reference].

Medical dictionaries frequently list terms of both medical and veterinary significance, as well as words of purely veterinary usage. Although Stedman's Medical Dictionary Illustrated [28th ed., 2006] appears to define more uniquely veterinary terms, the choice between Dorland's Illustrated Medical Dictionary [31st ed., 2007; electronically available from Credo Reference as well] or Stedman's is a matter of personal preference.
