UGRL Media

The Undergraduate librarians select and maintain a collection of audio-visual materials and audio-visual equipment used for accessing materials in the Library. The audio-visual collection is based largely on the instructional needs of faculty, instructors, and extension specialists, but the collection also encompasses the learning and presentational needs of undergraduate and graduate students. The collection is educational in nature rather than entertainment-oriented.

Titles are represented in various formats including audiocassettes, videocassettes, laserdiscs, DVDs, CD-ROMs, slides, 16mm films, and more. Records for all media titles in the collection are in the Libraries Catalog database. Most media items are available on open shelves in Hicks Library, but media materials on reserve or in special formats are available at the Circulation/Reserve Desk.
