Know the Libraries
ILLiad puts each request into a status so that we can keep track of where each request is at any given time in the ILL process. Some of the most frequently seen statuses are below. Please feel free to contact us if you need help determining where your request is in the process.
Awaiting Copyright Clearance - The article request has been submitted by the customer and it is awaiting copyright processing to determine the amount of copyright fees to be paid, if necessary.
Awaiting DD Stacks Searching - Purdue Libraries owns the material you've requested and we're preparing to find it so we can fulfill the request..
Awaiting Request Processing - The item has been submitted by the customer and is now ready to be searched and requested from potential lenders. From here it may be routed to various ILL staff for processing..
Awaiting Return Label Printing - We have your returned item in our possession and are preparing it to be returned to the lending library..
Awaiting UBorrow Find Item Search - Your loan request is waiting to be automatically processed through UBorrow (if available)..
Awaiting Unfilled Processing - The request has been returned as unfilled. No library in our first group of chosen libraries has agreed to send the item. ILL staff will review the request and send it again, if more sources are available..
Awaiting User Verification - We sent you an email with a question and are waiting for your reply before we can continue processing your request..
Cancelled by ILL Staff - The request has been cancelled by the ILL staff. The reason for this cancellation may be found in ILLiad by selecting View/Resubmit Cancelled Requests and looking at the detailed information for the cancelled item. Note: If one of your requests is cancelled by the ILL staff, we immediately send you an e-mail message explaining why the item was cancelled..
Checked out to Customer - The requested item has arrived, has been processed by the ILL staff, and has been checked out to the customer. You are responsible for this item as soon as the request is in this status..
Customer Notified via E-Mail - The requested item has arrived, has been processed by ILL staff, and the customer has been notified via email of its availability at the ILL office..
Delivered to Web - The requested item has arrived, has been processed by the ILL staff, and has been posted to the customer's ILLiad account, where it may be viewed and/or downloaded electronically via Adobe Acrobat PDF..
In DD Stacks Searching - Purdue Libraries owns the material you've requested and we're in the process of finding it so we can fulfill the request..
In Extensive Searching - Your request was not available through our usual means. We are now attempting to obtain your material through other resources, which may take longer..
Recalled - The item is being recalled by the lender. Return it to the Interlibrary Loan office in HSSE library immediately..
Received Incorrect/Partial Item - An item was received that either does not match the item that was requested or is incomplete. The ILL staff will determine the quickest means to correct this..
Renewal Requested - You have asked us to request a renewal on your behalf and the request is awaiting staff processing..
Renewal Request Submitted - We have submitted a renewal request on your behalf and are awaiting a response from the lending library..
Request Finished - Your request is complete..
Request in Processing - The request is currently being processed by a staff member..
Request Sent - The request has been sent to potential lenders and ILL is waiting for a response. Books that have been shipped are often in this status. Please ask ILL staff if your book has shipped..
