The Purdue University Web Archive was established in 2012 following the need to identify mechanisms to capture and preserve Purdue’s web-born content. The Purdue University Web Archive is intended to complement the Karnes Archives and Special Collections current collections and will document today’s important occurrences for future researchers.
Utilizing California Digital Library’s Web Archiving Service (WAS) Archives staff is capturing vital university records, publications, and resources. The focus for preservation is the informational value and the look and feel of the Purdue University domain. Due to the ephemerality of web content and the general nature of certain website features, not all content types will render perfectly. For more information, see the Web Archive Collecting Policy.
