Starting in Fall 2024, Purdue Libraries and School of Information Studies is offering a minor in Information Studies. At its core, this minor is designed to equip students with the essential skills needed to thrive in today’s interconnected world. Students will explore a diverse array of topics, including data ethics, misinformation dynamics, online culture, intellectual property, and the transformative effects of technological innovation.
Purdue Libraries and School of Information Studies offers two graduate certificates: Digital Humanities, co-sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts, and Geographic Information Science, in collaboration with seven colleges at Purdue University. We also co-sponsor an undergraduate Digital Humanities Certificate with the College of Liberal Arts.
Purdue Libraries and School of Information Studies offers both graduate and undergraduate courses in fields such as information and data literacy, digital humanities and geographic information systems, systematic reviews, digital citizenship and information ethics, and foundational concepts in undergraduate research. ILS courses may meet elective, core curriculum, or certificate requirements for your major and other programs.
